The “SF Fog” are a small run of 25 kendamas.
All painted by Nik Stergios with this amazing transparent Silver/Grey with a bronze gloss coat. The Silver and Bronze sparkle really pops in the sunglight. It is hard to even capture how rad these look in person because inside they are mellow but out in the sun its like “god damn”.
These tamas are quite sticky so if you are looking for a sticky tama look no further. These are on the V1 DWI ken so they don’t feature the “Deal with it” on the top cup.
They come with a Deal With it Dog stamped bag, 2 Ken Lab Black Satin Strings and a couple of stickers.
Jake and Mash are at it again but this time it’s not the Sauce. It’s the captain. I’ve seen these bad boys and they look really clean. They only made 20 so stay tuned to the Kengarden for the drop.
I made this awhile ago and lately I’ve been thinking I need to make a new and improved version. So hopefully soon…
Check out the new Rollerwarehouse catalog that just came out. Because I shot the damn cover!!!! I’m so stoked they ended up using this photo of Vossoughi. I’ve been getting this catalog since I was a little kid in middle school. It would come along side Team Paradise for god sake. Well TP is no longer around and the true bosses are left still standing. So go support a shop that has been around longer than most dudes even knew what blading was. For the record this rail goes from flat fancy rail to straight up square right at the kink. So right when you lock on you go from one weird rail to another. Shit was nuts but you know Voss Hoss handled it for than than once!
We tried using Jake’s new steady cam and it was a complete shit show. So here are a few outtakes from what happened that day. Jake’s ender really sick though.
Yesterday we all went out skated some rails again at the Sunday Streets. But this time it was on Valencia and 19th so it was right in my neighborhood. At some points we had like 20-30 people watching us. Some people had literally never even seen this shit before. Like people had NO IDEA people did this kind of stuff on blades but most were way stoked on us. So I’m thinking maybe that is what prompted Mission Local to put up my pic of Kevin Yee. Either way I’m stoked to be getting some local love.
Some of you probably already know that my fiance has a fashion blog called Hummingbird Girls that she runs with he friend Jen. I sometimes take pictures for her blog and she decided this week to do a post using my Enjyu hardwood kendama. Here are a few of the snaps from the shoot, you can see the full post here. Fashion and Kendama who knew?
If you don’t play dama these are like the Rolls Royce of kendama. Some have been known to sell for upwards of $1000!! They are so expensive because they are amazing quality, and the company stopped making damas awhile ago to focus on calligraphy brushes.
If you play Dama and you see Japanese packaging like that at your door you get stoked. I ordered some of what I think are possibly some of the best kendamas ever made. These are the white packaging Oozoras. I got a leaf green (the lead makes it good) and a sky blue. I’ve never been one to keep kendamas in packaging and have even scoffed at the idea of it, but with this leaf green I think I might leave it in there for just a bit. For now at least, and truthfully I doubt it will stay in there long. Since my other leaf green may have had an unfortunate incident at dama fest where I tried to open a beer with it. Sander tried to warn me, but at that point I had reached the Saga Space Lab so I wasn’t hearing much.
