Last year my first real introduction into the yoyo world was Cal States. This year I wasn’t able to make it but the homie Guy Wright ended up placing 4th! Another notable routine was Tyler Severance’s 5a performance. Some really amazing stuff from these two. You can check out other routines on the youtube page. Can’t wait for the Bay Area Classic in May.
So this is a kendama ball with a big groove in it like a yoyo. The kendama world and yoyo world has been merging a lot recently and this is a direct result. Definitely some really rad things can come of this. Can’t wait to see more and get my hands on one.
Alex Ruisch hit me up and wanted to get some GT-1 Spectrums, so of course we hooked him up. But before I sent them out he wanted me to give them to Sourmash so he could have some custom painted tamas that matched. And as you can see Mash fucking killed it! These things just look so amazing. I’m stoked to say these are from Jake and my company, our good homie painted them and they are going to a legend. Enjoy them Ruisch!
Last night we released 40 of our new Full Hickory GT-1 completes. These featured an unpainted Natural tama. We decided to go with the no gloss because of how well the prototypes were breaking in. So hopefully you were able to snag one and if not. There will definitely be more in the future.
All camo errythang!
Talin sure does love those string tricks. I’m always stoked when someone tries to do something new with kendama. So keep up the creativity man, can’t wait to see what he comes up with next. Also extra points for repping that GT-1.
We got some sweet buttons made and they are up on the site now. 3 buttons, 2 GT sticks. $5. Can’t go wrong with that. Rep GT in style.
So this is the first of what we hope to be many more community edits. Usually edits are all about one person or all about one company. We wanted to bring everyone together with the shared love of the Grain Theory kendama. All companies, all countries, all skill levels welcome. Enjoy.
Ballard put together this awesome piece on “Iji”. KROM’s newest pro from Japan. He has that Dave Mateo dancing swag going on. This is a totally new style of kendama that you don’t really see very often. It’s amazing to see the Japanese and Worldwide scenes merging, only great things can come from everyone coming together as a global community. Nice work on the chop Ballard and stoked to see more from Iji.
This is too rad! The dude in all white with the big ass Yo Yo on his chest is killing it.
