We are proud to announce our newest Grain Theory Prospect. Nic Stodd. The dude is just amazing at kendama and we are proud to have him on the team. More to come from Stodd thats for sure.
"In January of 2014 the KROM team got to pull some sub-zero tricks in the blistering cold north of the Arctic Circle. For two icy weeks we travelled parts of mind blowing Greenland with ONE thing in mind:
The program was packed with shows, cruising, demos, workshops, skiing, sailing and more. We had an amazing time especially with all the players of Greenland who are without a doubt at a world class skill level!”
KROM always coming correct with their media and spreading the love of dama.
Now that is bad ass!
For this collaboration I teamed up with Mr. Sourmash. I had Sourmash paint a splatter job with 2 kinds of blues and a green. Comes with Version 2 DWI ken with "Deal with it" burned into the top of the big cup. They come with 1 green and 1 dark blue Ken Lab satin strings, a couple stickers, and a DWI stamped bag. Paint jobs vary from tama to tama because of the nature of the colorway. Only 25 made. Pick one up in the store now.
The “SF Fog” are a small run of 25 kendamas.
All painted by Nik Stergios with this amazing transparent Silver/Grey with a bronze gloss coat. The Silver and Bronze sparkle really pops in the sunglight. It is hard to even capture how rad these look in person because inside they are mellow but out in the sun its like “god damn”.
These tamas are quite sticky so if you are looking for a sticky tama look no further. These are on the V1 DWI ken so they don’t feature the “Deal with it” on the top cup.
They come with a Deal With it Dog stamped bag, 2 Ken Lab Black Satin Strings and a couple of stickers.
Fellow Terra Pro Eric Martin aka Heshisfresh aka Rick made this short little 3 trick jammer. I love when they cat stuffs him at the end. Also that second trick is too clean. Eric always comes with the smooth creativity.
"Held in Copenhagen, Denmark the 2014 European Kendama Open was a landmark for premiere kendama events. This year featured a pre-competition Warm Up Tour, the first ever Damalympics, and the addition of a new freestyle competition, 7-to-Spike. Competitors traveled from around the globe, and in total 18 different countries were represented making it the most fun and competitive European kendama competition to date." This looked really fun I hope to make it to one sometime.
"The Krom Kendama Pro Team took their skills and camera to the city of Los Angeles, California. Watch Thorkild, Matt, Mathias, and Philip as they shred from the streets of downtown to the cliffs of Malibu." Gotta love the Kromies.
I missed the first kendama world cup and I’m still pretty bitter about it! Next year I will be there no matter what. When I first saw the ladder videos I said Bonz is going to win or Bosch and they placed 1 and 2, so just sayin’. I called that shit. Looked like an amazing event and I can’t wait for next year. Go check out this guys youtube channel because he uploaded a bunch of peoples runs, some freestyles and even the award ceremony.
I just re-upped on kendamas and they now feature a new burn on the top of the big cup that says “Deal With it”. The bare bones are on sale now in the store. Also 25 more gold nuggets will go on sale tomorrow at 930 am (SF time). The next two painted releases will be the V1 dama then from then on they will be the V2.
