These high school kids interviewed Wiens and Mash for this documentary piece they made for school. Mash’s part was probably my favorite. Nice to see some younger kids in SF actually getting down.
We are coming correct this year for Dama fest! Check out this amazing menu Wiens put together of all the products we will be having at the Kengarden/Deal with it booth. Also 99% of the products at our booth were made and designed right here in the USA! Something no one else can claim. ‘Murica!
Stoked to see Yourd put out a new edit. Loving that double tap stuff and that weird double tre flip weirdness. Also stoked to see an edit that isn’t just all dama. Didn’t know Yourd could shred that hard on a snowboard did ya?
I made the Bring back Mugen fb page because I didn’t really know what else to do to try and get these guys to listen. So I figured it was a long shot. But Holy shit it actually worked!! Realistically I think they are a lot of people that need to be thanked for them coming back. Obviously Tamotsu Kubota and everyone at Gloken made this last push to really get them going. Before that I would have to say Yoko and Ruisch need to be thanked for their tireless work trying to get them back as well. I’ve heard they will be around the $35-$45 mark and not have a JKA seal. Everyone is saying they won’t be the same but do you really think they will be that different? Iwata knows if he strays to much from the original people will not be stoked. So I can not freaking wait to see what they come up with. See people if you really want something bad enough you can make it happen!
I love my KROM dama keychains but I found these little guys online and they look awesome too. I’m pretty sure these are old, so I wonder who made these. Either way I want one.
Jake made this awesome video of Ann one day while hanging out in japan town. Then the edit got on a few giant blogs and it seriously went viral, almost has 200K views on it! So congrats to Jake and Ann for making this great edit together. And it was a good thing for Fatlace Ann lost her luggage because look at all that free promotion!
Had so much fun trying to figure out creative ways to shred this thing. In yoyo they have 2A where you use two yoyos. Well this is 2T!
Ruisch was the first to make a metal kendama. Now he is bringing you a mini version! These just look so clean. This is a MUST HAVE for the true dama head. Can’t wait to get my hands on one. Nice work Ruisch.
Jake and the Kendama USA dudes are going to be out in Vegas for another toy fair. They are throwing a battle in the studio of some famous bboy crew. So Jake hit up Tim Rice the only dude in SF that we know that damas and can dance his ass off. They put together this sweet little edit. Check out the Kengarden for full details, and if you are in the Vegas area go check this shit out.
If James Bond played kendama this is the kind of shit he would be using. I’ve yet to see one of these in person but wouldn’t mind getting my hands on one.
